Market Commons (or similar) place with walking paths. See if we can coordinate with Horry County Parks and DNR an archery shoot where it could be done safely but create exposure. Maybe spark an interest within the community.

I'd love it if we could get permission to use this area for an Archery for Kids Day and maybe a short outdoors shoot (Vegas???) or club exhibition. Of course we couldn't without adequate club volunteers. No concessions. Market Commons would want that as a draw for resident merchants. I don't know if any of this is feasible. The area backs up to a thin wood line in some areas and thick in others. Genesis bows would be safe in the area for kids day with the space. Maybe not so much for the paper target (Vegas???) idea but an Exhibition by experienced club archers might be feasible. Thoughts?  To the left behind the wood line is the maintenance shed area for Market Commons. The best alignment would have the shoot line near the walking path by the lake and shoot away from the path towards the wood line by the street. It's about 200 yards from walking path to street. |
